The Department of Storm Water Management was created in the year 2000 to oversee the collection and disposal of storm and surface water in the town. The Department has a three (3) member board that is responsible for outlining the town’s Storm Water Management Plan. This plan details the Town’s design to comply with the Rule 13 permit from the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM). IDEM is strict at enforcing compliance with the Rule 13 permit. The Rule 13 permit requires the town to implement six (6) storm water control measures to minimize the amount of pollutants entering our storm water typically through drains or the nearest waterway.

The Department of Storm Water Management Board typically meets on the fourth (4th) Monday of every month at 5:00 pm. Your attendance is welcome!

The Hotline has been established to address concerns about flooding, erosion, water quality, construction sites and permits. Callers will need to give their name and contact information so erosion control and construction issues can be tracked as they are reported and resolved.
