GIS

What is GIS?

GIS , or Geographic Information Systems is a technological field that incorporates geographical features with tabular data in order to map, analyze, and assess real-world problems. For the past 2 years the Town of Bargersville has been meticulously collecting data and combining it with the GPS coordinates of many of the town’s utility assets. In the near future we will be publishing our work in a series of maps so that developers, engineers, and everyday citizens will be able to view data pertinent to their developments, infrastructure projects, and much, much more in an easy to use map with many different useful data layers.
