The Town of Bargersville is located in Johnson County, and currently at 1.1 square miles encompasses parts of White River and Union Townships. The population was 2,120 at the time of the 2000 U.S. Census with significant growth expected to with the results of the 2010 Census reports.
Bargersville is located at the major intersection of S.R. 135 and C.R. 144 making for short commutes to Indianapolis, Nashville, and Bloomington. Bargersville features a bustling local economy, the Bargersville Flea Market with its large community of local vendors and the accompanying farmer’s markets draw large crowds to town each Saturday who come looking for good deals and stay for good food at one of the many excellent local restaurants, like the famous Red’s Place.
Bargersville is growing. With proposed annexation of portions of White River Township, the Town of Bargersville is expanding its borders to better service up and coming neighborhoods and businesses in our near vicinity.
