In Case of

What is it?    A source of information in cell phones for emergency responders to use when responding to accidents, crimes, and disasters and something has happened to the owner of the phone.

How does it work?    Input an entry into the phonebook of your cell called ICE and put in the names and numbers for the person/people who should be contacted if the owner cannot respond.

Who started it?    A British paramedic in April 2005 and it really started being implemented after the July terrorist bombings in London.  Now emergency responders in the United States are encouraging people to use this acronym*.

Should you Put in your cell?    Most definitely!
